I am a finalist in Street category of the 2020 British Photography Awards. On Tuesday I will make my way to London where I will discover who, out of four category finalists, will win the overall prize.
The awards dinner at the Savoy night looks set to be a glitzy affair celebrating photographic talent from British and British-based photographers. 64 finalists have been chosen from across 16 categories including street, fashion, landscape, sports, and wildlife.
This is the closest I have come to winning any photography competition. I am extremely proud to have been shortlisted, let alone become a finalist. I look at the work of other photographers, both in my category and across the awards and wonder how I have managed to get this far.
